Reminders and notifications

A reminder is attached to a container so that time-sensitive tasks—such as checking supplies, renewing equipment, or reviewing storage—do not get lost.

Set a reminder

Add or edit a container and choose its reminder date. Your reminders page brings together containers that have dates set, so you can review what is due next.

Change or remove a reminder date whenever the task is complete or the schedule changes.

Browser notifications

On the web, QontaineR can ask your browser for permission to send notifications. You can review browser notification preferences from Profile. If your browser blocks notifications, change its site permission and then try again.

Browser notifications depend on your browser and device settings. They may not arrive if notifications are disabled, the browser is not allowed to run in the background, or the device is offline.

Mobile notifications

The mobile app can use your device’s notification permission. Allow notifications when prompted, or change the permission later in your device settings. Mobile delivery can also be affected by power-saving and network settings.

Why did I not get a notification?

First confirm the container still has the expected reminder date. Then check the browser or device permission, notification preferences, and any power-saving settings that may limit background delivery.

Can I turn notifications off?

Yes. Turn off the relevant notification preference in Profile, or remove QontaineR’s notification permission in your browser or device settings.
