Help Centre Security and account access
Protect your accountSecurity and account access
Your account can contain information about your possessions and shared spaces. Use the available security settings in Profile to protect it, and never share sign-in codes or recovery material.
Passwords and email verification
Use a long, unique password or passphrase that you do not use elsewhere. You can change your password from Profile, and use the password-reset flow if you forget it.
Keep your email address current and verify it when QontaineR asks you to. Your email is used for important account messages and recovery.
Two-factor authentication and passkeys
You can add an authenticator app for two-factor authentication (TOTP) and manage passkeys from Profile. A passkey uses the secure sign-in method offered by your device or browser.
When setting up an authenticator app, confirm the code before relying on it. Keep the setup QR code and any one-time codes private—do not let anyone else scan the QR code, screenshot it, or receive the codes.
Recovery codes
Recovery codes are for getting back into your own account when you cannot use your normal two-factor method. Save them somewhere private and offline where possible. Treat each code like a password: do not send it in messages or give it to support staff.
If you believe a recovery code has been exposed, do not use it. Sign in with your authenticator app, then use Regenerate recovery codes in Profile (or the mobile app) to invalidate the existing list and receive a new one. You will need a current authenticator code to confirm the regeneration.
Still need help?
Send us a private support request. You do not need to sign in to your QontaineR account.

Frequently asked questions
Can someone at QontaineR ask for my password or recovery code?
No. Never share your password, authenticator code, passkey prompt, recovery code, or password-reset link with anyone claiming to provide support.
What if I lose my authenticator device?
Use a saved recovery code to sign in, then update your two-factor authentication settings. If you do not have a recovery code, use only the official account-recovery options available from the sign-in page.
